How do I pause or save in ROME: Total War?

You can pause, save and load in ROME: Total War via the pause menu. You can access this menu by tapping on the advisor in the top left corner of the screen and selecting the pause button from the advisor screen.

You can also use the quick gesture to display this menu by swiping down with three fingers when in a battle or on campaign map.
